Host & Founder
In the heart of Lincoln, Nebraska, Alicia Chrastil shines as a warm and dedicated individual, skillfully balancing her roles as a trusted realtor, mom, wife, proud grandmother, and founder of the Nebraska Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminars.
With credentials like CSHP, MSRP, SRES, and GRI, Alicia offers unmatched expertise. Her passion is helping seniors navigate life’s transitions with care. A lifelong Lincoln resident, Alicia has built her career empowering Nebraska’s seniors, turning overwhelm into joy through education, support, and personalized plans for confident next steps.
Alicia is a licensed REALTOR® and Team Leader of the Nebraska Real Estate Specialty Group of Nebraska Realty, the state’s only team dedicated to senior-focused transitions.
TJ Chrastil
Co-founder & Co-host
TJ Chrastil, a Lincoln native and Lincoln Southeast High graduate, joined the Army National Guard at 17 and served 9 honorable years, including a tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom II as a Recovery Vehicle Operator.
After his service, TJ became an award-winning Investigative Reporter, recognized by the Nebraska Press Association. He also traveled nationwide as a corporate journalist, writing newsletters for major railroad companies.
He completed an apprenticeship with the Steamfitter’s Local Union 464, earning his Journeyman Steamfitter license, where he mastered troubleshooting, designing, and welding piping systems for commercial and industrial heating and cooling.
As a second-generation Realtor with Nebraska Realty, TJ now helps Veterans use their benefits to find homes they love.
George Simmons
Logistics Director
George Simmons spent decades solving complex engineering and automation challenges before transitioning to real estate in 2021. His leadership roles at Novartis Consumer Health and his consulting firm, GESimmons LLC, taught him to coordinate moving parts, anticipate issues, and build effective systems.
As Logistics Director for Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminars, George ensures events run smoothly by managing venues, schedules, materials, and presenter needs. His engineering precision avoids oversights, while his expertise as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) provides valuable insight into the challenges seniors face during life transitions.
George ensures logistics don’t interfere with what matters: seniors receiving the guidance they need to make informed life decisions.
Rose Lyle
Senior Resources Coordinator
Rose Lyle understands seniors' challenges because she's lived them. After her career with the U.S. Postal Service, she became a caregiver for her husband during his battle with Alzheimer's. That experience taught her how overwhelming it is to navigate healthcare, manage care, coordinate services, and make tough decisions while watching a loved one change.
As a REALTOR® with Nebraska Real Estate Specialty Group of Nebraska Realty, Rose helps clients through major life transitions. Her role as Senior Resources Coordinator for Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminars draws on her firsthand knowledge of what families truly need during aging, illness, and transitions. She connects seniors with resources, simplifies confusing information, and offers experience-based guidance.
Rose understands the unspoken questions, late-night problems, and the comfort of talking to someone who's been there. She brings empathy rooted in experience, not manuals.
Jason Slama
Community Relations Director
Jason Slama has spent 20 years in the construction and trades, building homes and solving problems from the ground up. That hands-on experience taught him how to spot issues before they become expensive mistakes, and how to communicate clearly with people who just want straight answers. When he transitioned to real estate with Nebraska Realty, he brought that same no-BS approach—clients appreciate someone who tells them what they're actually looking at, not what sounds good in a marketing brochure.
As Community Relations Director for Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminars, Jason connects our programs with Lincoln's senior community. His construction background gives him credibility when discussing home safety, aging-in-place modifications, and property concerns that matter to older homeowners. He understands that seniors need information they can trust from people who've actually done the work, not just read about it.
Jason knows Lincoln because he's built in it, sold in it, and lived in it. He's the person making sure our seminars reach the people who need them most.
